Katy Perry has hinted she's ready to move on from Russell Brand, telling a pre-Super Bowl crowd that she feels 'brand new'.

The songstress has rarely appeared in public since Russell announced their impending divorce at the end of December. However, the star looked in good spirits as she performed on DirectTV's Super Saturday Night, ahead of Sunday's Super Bowl XLVI.

Katy addressed the crowds at the event and hinted about her positive frame of mind following her highly-publicised relationship breakdown.

'We just finished 125 tour dates. So everything feels brand new,' she told the audience, before beginning her song The One That Got Away.

Katy also seemingly acknowledged rumours she is romantically involved with Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow.

The stunning star dedicated her song Peacock to the NFL sports star.

'This goes out to Tim Tebow,' she said.

Following her performance, Katy enjoyed her night in a VIP area at Victory Field in Indianapolis. Onlookers told the New York Post that the star 'appeared to be having a really good time. She was smiling and laughing'.

Reports recently emerged that Katy's estranged husband has been in contact with Katy lookalike Zooey Deschanel.

The British comedian is said to admire Zooey's talent, and has been sending text messages over the past few weeks in a bid to meet up.

'Russell is a big fan of Zooey and would love to work with her in the future. He's been in contact, asking to meet up,' a source told Closer magazine.

'He thinks she's hysterically funny and cute too. He loves her quirky sense of humour. There seems to be a spark there.'

Kanye West is keeping his Big Day Out setlist to the greatest hits from his five studio albums but he also has a Katy Perry song in there too.

West is performing Perry's 'E.T.' during his Big Day Out headlining run across Australia.

There is nothing from the more recent 'Watch The Throne' album with Jay-Z although Kanye is doing 'Run This Town', the track he recorded with Jay-Z for Jay-Z's 2009 release 'The Blueprint 3'.

Katy Perry has told people to 'simmer down' over her decision to kiss a fan on stage during her California Dreams tour.

The newly-single songstress has come under fire for puckering up while performing dates in Asia. Some publications are reporting that Katy has locked lips with two audience members while in Indonesia and the Phillippines.

However, the stunning singer has taken to her Twitter page to defend her playful actions.

'Btw, I have *kissed* 1 boy, picked randomly out of the audience, on the cheek as a part of my show for all 125 tour dates. Simmer down now (sic),' she tweeted.

Katy recently split from her husband Russell Brand. The British comedian filed papers to end their 14-month marriage at the end of December.

Katy has since continued with her touring schedule, and has been enjoying her time on stage. The 27-year-old beauty took the time out to thanks fans for their continued support on the social networking site.

'Thanks for an AMAZING FINAL CDT date Manila!' she gushed.

'Sorry to keep u waiting earlier... had to solve a security issue, but THE SHOW WENT SPLENDIDLY! (sic).'

Katy Perry �praying for marriage miracle�

Katy Perry has reportedly been 'praying for a miracle' when it comes to her marriage.

The actress is said to be in turmoil following the end of her relationship with Russell Brand. He filed for divorce from her following a 14-month union late last year, and it's been suggested she was not prepared for him to do so.

Katy apparently still wants the marriage to work so has turned to her Christian faith for support.

'She's been praying for a miracle, basically, and it tells you everything that Katy doesn't give a damn about the money,' a source told the British edition of Grazia magazine.

It's suggested that Russell has refused to talk to Katy following their breakup. He was thought to be flying to Los Angeles to see her earlier this month, but she jetted out of America as he got there.

'She's trying hard to make sense of what happened, and while she knows it's over, there's a part of her that can't accept it until she's spoken to Russell and seen him face to face. She still doesn't know the full extent of his reasoning and his refusal to speak to her is making things 100 times worse.

'Katy's even tried reaching out to his mom Barbara and a couple of his pals, but they have all told her he'll be in touch to meet up 'when he's ready'.'

Katy, 27, has been writing songs about her heartbreak, while it's been suggested Russell will lift the lid on their relationship in his new memoir.

Those close to the couple now think they should see a professional to help them reconnect and become friends again, even if they don't mend their marriage.

'Katy wants Russell to see a therapist, and in the end, he's probably going to have to agree ' for the sake of his career if nothing else,' the insider added. 'You can't have two big stars at each other's throats like this, because their A-list friends don't know where to turn.'

Katy Perry Sims game to be released

Katy Perry is collaborating with Electronic Arts to create a Katy Perry themed Sims game.

The special collectors edition will be part of The Sims 3 Showtime.

'I love how you're able to play out different stories through your Sims characters ' giving them different careers and watching them succeed,' said Perry. 'It's cool to see the Sims' stage performances in The Sims 3 Showtime decked out just like my California Dreams Tour ' even my cotton candy video screens are in there! I always like to think of myself as a cartoon, and now I'm a Sim!'

Katy will be hands on working with the EA team to create the accessories, clothing, hairstyles, furniture and props to be used in her game.

EA's Steve Schnur said, 'Katy Perry has been a fan of The Sims for several years, and her Simlish recording of her hit 'Hot and Cold' featured in The Sims' 2 series quickly became the most popular Simlish music video to date. Katy Perry feels 'insulted' by estranged husband Russell Brand, it has been revealed.

Russell Brand filed for divorce from Katy in late December after 14 months of marriage.

Katy is reportedly incensed by Russell's attitude.

'Katy is insulted and feels betrayed that Russell has treated her so poorly,' an insider told Us Weekly. 'She will never forgive him. Ever.'

When Russell moved his belongings out of Katy's Los Angeles mansion last weekend, the pair were rumoured to have discussed how to proceed with their divorce. Katy may have not liked what she heard, as she wants little to do with Russell in the future.

'[Katy is] limiting [her] interactions [with Russell],' another source told the magazine. 'He''s being so atrocious that she feels like she never knew him.'

Russell announced that he will be penning a memoir in the near future. Katy is reportedly nervous about the tome, which will cover the couple's marriage in detail.

'[Russell] wants to tell his side of the story,' a source told Us Weekly earlier this month. 'The book will cover his married life, the breakup and moving on. And I don''t think he plans on keeping the breakdown of the marriage a secret. Pardon the pun, but Russell is an open book.'

The pair, who wed in a lavish Hindu ceremony in India in October 2010, are currently working on finalising asset allocation and other divorce details.

Katy Perry �no dating plans�

Katy Perry has no intention of dating until her divorce is finalised.

The singer split from British comedian Russell Brand late last year and he has filed papers to end their marriage.

Over the last week there have been rumours Katy's mother and father Mary and Keith Hudson have encouraged her to move on. There was speculation Mary hoped her daughter would begin a romance with American football star Tim Tebow, but it's thought that is untrue.

'Mary told me she never said anything of the sort. I don't think either of Katy's parents have even met Tebow,' friend of the family Pastor Paul Endrei told British newspaper The Sunday Mirror.

'There is no way that she will start dating again until her divorce is finalised.'

Katy's parents have been spending time with her over the last week as she tries to come to terms with her marriage breakdown.

'Keith and Mary flew from Georgia to Los Angeles earlier this week to be with their daughter. She is doing OK under the ¬circumstances, but this has been a very tough road for her,' a friend added.

'Keith and Mary have also been reaching out to Russell and sent him a text telling him he is in their thoughts and that they love him.'

Russell has jetted from London back to Los Angeles where he will meet with Katy. It will be the first time the two have come face-to-face since they announced their separation after 14 months of marriage.

The pair are thought to be planning to discuss the terms of their split, although Katy is reported to be hoping they might still reconcile.

'He has agreed to meet her one last time. He wants to sort things out and finalise the divorce,' a friend explained to the publication. 'Removal trucks have been moving his things out of the house they lived in and into a new place that Russell is renting.

'He needed to be in LA for the Globes [Golden Globe Awards tonight] too, so it was an ideal opportunity to meet. He is determined to move on. But Katy says she is still in love with him and she still has hopes they might get back together.'

Katy Perry triumphs at People�s Choice Awards

Katy Perry triumphed at last night's People's Choice Awards.

Although she pulled out of the awards ceremony days ago, the absent Teenage Dream singer won trophies in five categories including Favourite Female Artist, Tour Headliner, Song of the Year for E.T., TV Guest Appearance and Music Video. Katy had seven nods in total.

Fantasy film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 won the second most awards. The eighth and final instalment of the film series adapted from J.K. Rowling's novels was victorious in the Favourite Movie, Action Movie, Ensemble Movie Cast and Book Adaptation categories. The film received nine nominations all together.

Glee starlet Lea Michele was voted the public's Favourite TV Comedy Actress. Lea is grateful to those who appreciate her ambitious character Rachel Berry on Glee.

'[To] all the Rachel Berrys out there!' Lea gushed when she picked up her award at the podium.

Songstress Demi Lovato, who also performed at the ceremony, was another winner with fans as she clenched the Favourite Pop Artist title.

"I won this award because of my fans so I dedicate this to you guys," Demi said on stage. "Without you guys tweeting so many times I wouldn''t be here tonight."

Notable winners of the film categories include Emma Stone for Favourite Movie Actress and Comedic Movie Actress, Johnny Depp for Favourite Movie Actor and Hugh Jackman for Favourite Action Movie Star.

The People's Choice Awards are judged by popular vote and not by industry associations or critics like a lot of the other awards.

The winners were voted for by fans online and on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.

Katy Perry �pulls out of post-split appearance�

Katy Perry has pulled out of what would have been her first public appearance since splitting from husband Russell Brand.

The 27-year-old singer took to her Twitter page to tell fans that she will not be attending an award ceremony this Wednesday as she had been scheduled to.

Russell filed for divorce from the Firework singer less than two weeks ago after just 14 months of marriage.

'Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People's Choice Awards,' Katy wrote on the social networking site but did not elaborate on a reason.

'I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed (sic)!'

Katy is nominated for six awards which is more than anyone else. She is up for Favourite Female Artist and Favourite Song for the track E.T. featuring Kanye West.

It was reported last week that Russell had been uninvited from the show to prevent them bumping into each other.

Katy spoke out over the weekend for the first time since her divorce was announced, saying her heart is 'happy again.'

"I am so grateful for all the love and support I've had from people around the world," she wrote on Saturday. "You guys have made my heart happy again."

Katy went on to urge her fans to ignore speculation surrounding the breakdown of her marriage.

"Concerning the gossip, I want to be clear that NO ONE speaks for me," she tweeted. "Not a blog, magazine, 'close sources' or my family (sic)."
