Florence Welch: I enjoy blowouts

Florence Welch only has a 'blowout' occasionally nowadays.

The Florence + the Machine star no longer drinks alcohol while on tour as she doesn't think it's conducive to good shows. However, when at home it's a different story.

'When I'm on tour I'm really strict with myself. But when I get back to London I still go a bit crazy. My sister will say, 'Where have you been for the last couple of days?' and I'll have been going out seeing friends. But that's only a blowout now and then, everyone has their moments. I'm still trying to figure out the balance. I'm still learning the best for me. I haven't figured everything out yet,' she explained.

Florence, 25, grew up following punk bands and when she hit the big time she tried to emulate them. That meant drinking a lot, especially when she saw many other modern groups behaving in that way.

She eventually decided to stop after worrying things had gone too far.

'I used alcohol to give me confidence on stage. Now I feel more comfortable with my music, I find confidence in that, but it took a while to get used to that,' she told Look magazine. 'At the level I was going, I don't think I could have kept it up. I couldn't carry on like that. I realise people had paid to come and see me and it had to stop.'

Florence Welch: I�ll perform for Winehouse

Florence Welch would be 'honoured' to perform at an Amy Winehouse tribute concert.

Amy died aged 27 last July and her father Mitch has confirmed a show in her honor will take place later this year. Florence would love to be involved if at all possible.

'It'd be an honour to sing at the tribute concert but I have to see how it fits in with touring,' she said.

Florence was shocked when she heard Amy had passed away last year. Although the two weren't really friends Florence was a big fan of the soul star's music.

'I was devastated when Amy died. It was such a shock, it shouldn't have happened. We weren't close, but I thought she was an incredible performer. The first time I saw her was the first time I'd performed at Glastonbury ' the really muddy year. We had some time off so my friends and I went to watch her and she was incredible,' she told Look magazine.

Jessie J and Lily Allen are rumoured to be playing at the tribute concert.

Florence Welch �loved up� with new beau

Florence Welch 'instantly hit it off' with her new boyfriend.

The Florence and the Machine singer is currently dating event organiser James Nesbitt.

The pair are reportedly smitten with one another.

'Florence and James are pretty loved up,' a source told British newspaper The Sun.

'They instantly hit it off. James was privately educated in Yorkshire and now earns his cash from helping organise events.'

Florence is currently on holiday with James in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Before visiting South America together, the couple vacationed in Australia and New Zealand.

Friends close to Florence believe that she has fallen hard for James.

'They have a lot of mutual friends and like going out to the same places,' the source revealed.

'They have been inseparable since they got together. There's no way they'd travel half way around the world together if they weren't serious.'

James was previously romantically linked to UK television presenter Fearne Cotton.

Florence split with her long-term boyfriend literary editor Stuart Hammond in October 2011.

The songstress has been nominated for Best Female and Best Album for Ceremonials at next month's BRIT Awards and she is currently preparing for a world tour.

Florence Welch: I had dramatic breakup

Florence Welch felt like she was 'breaking down' when she split from her long-term boyfriend.

The Florence + the Machine singer's relationship with Stuart Hammond ended in October last year. She's admitted it hit her hard and for weeks afterwards she struggled to cope.

'I've just gone through a dramatic breakup. It's sad, I get so lonely. I really did feel like I was breaking down several times. This job is not making me sad; the situation I'm in is making me sad. Singing is the only time I feel truly happy,' she told Q magazine.

The 25-year-old could hardly keep her emotions in check after she split from Stuart.

'You know the walking weep?' she queried. 'It's when you're walking down the road and you're trying to carry on like normal but you just keep bawling. Girls will know about it.'

The star hasn't decided what she wants out of life yet. While she sometimes thinks being settled with a partner and family would be good, on other occasions she isn't sure if she'd cope without touring.

'I'd like, maybe, one day, to have a child, maybe plural,' she said.

'With a house and a family. But perhaps I'll regret it. Maybe I'll miss the hotel room and the road and all that. Maybe I'm not cut out for domestic life. Maybe I'm just meant to be on stage, singing. And maybe that's worth any other sacrifice.'

Despite her heartbreak, Florence has managed to find love again. She's currently dating event organizer James Nesbitt, with sources saying they are 'loved up' already.

Florence Welch: Music is draining

Florence Welch feels 'drained' by her career at times.

The Florence + the Machine singer has continued to see her popularity soar since the release of her band's successful debut album Lungs in 2009.

The star loves her music career, but admits the pressure gets to her occasionally.

"You're doing these amazing things but there are sacrifices to be made for that and you work incredibly hard,' she explained. "It gets very draining but I'm doing my absolute dream job and I wouldn't want to do anything else.

"The highs and the lows come with the same package - touring and travelling and being away from home."

Florence has been nominated for British female solo artist and Mastercard British album of the year for Ceremonials ahead of the coveted BRIT Awards.

The star doesn't let award ceremonies faze her.

"It's very nice to be recognised. It's always really fun. They are terrifying to start with. If you see them as something fun and a celebration then that's OK, I think you shouldn't put yourself under too much pressure,' she told the BBC.

Florence continues to grow in confidence as her career flourishes. The 25-year-old's signature style is now firmly in the public sphere.

"You have to figure out what makes you feel right. That's what the last couple of years have been about, how I feel comfortable and how I feel as a performer,' she said.

'People can tell you what to do and what not to do, but until you start making your own mistakes, that's the only way."

The Vinyl Factory and Island Records are proud to present a luxurious limited edition of 'No Light, No Light', the new single to be taken from Florence + the Machine's acclaimed album Ceremonials.

This is the second of a series of limited Florence vinyl releases with The Vinyl Factory; each cover will showcase the creative collaboration between Florence Welch and Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld, who personally chose Florence as his muse for next season's collection and for whom she performed at Paris Fashion Week.

Each cover has been screen printed, silver foiled and hand numbered on pristine white card and features a unique series of photographic portraits personally taken by the fashion legend, which will remain exclusive to these releases.

Each sleeve houses a heavyweight 180-gram 12" white vinyl contained in a black inner bag. The record itself is the only physical release of 'No Light No Light', and includes a remix by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek, only available physically on this release.
