Federline was taken to hospital in Sydney, where he had been filming the weight-loss TV series Excess Baggage.
He was given oxygen and packed into an ambulance where they will conduct tests to see if he has had a heart attack.
It is the second time in hospital since arriving in Australia nine weeks ago. He was also treated for heat stress while filming in the Northern Territory.
Federline is most famous for being the husband of Britney Spears. He had two children with her before they very publicly divorced in 2007.
He released on album, Playing With Fire, in 2006. It debuted at #151 on the Billboard charts.
