And In Touch claims that The Climb singer enlisted the help of a chef, nutritionist and her old personal trainer Harley Pasternak to get her back into shape.
Miley had received negative comments from what was perceived by some to be noticeable weight gain after she took some time off following her world tour.
But she apparently wanted to get her slimline physique back for the award season and a romantic trip with her beau.
'Miley probably spent $50,000 to lose 15 pounds in a few weeks,' a friend told the publication.
'She didn't care what it cost as long as she looked good!'
Miley showed off her toned body during a recent Hawaiian vacation with boyfriend Liam Hemsworth where she flaunted her curves in a bikini.
