Email this story Printable version Deen Castronovo, the drummer for Journey for more than a decade, was arrested last Saturday in Salem, Oregon after an argument with his girlfriend got physical.
According to TMZ, Castronovo not only had the altercation, but received additional charges when he took the phone away from the woman while she was trying to call her father. He was booked into the Polk County Jail on charges that included assault in the 4th degree, criminal mischief in the 2nd degree, harassment, coercion and interfering with making a report. Bail was set at $52,500.
A source told the site that Castronovo believes it was "a misunderstanding that should not have been escalated to such a level in the first place."
Castronovo has played on albums from a multitude of artists including Bad English, Ozzy Osbourne, Steve Vai and Social Distortion. He has been on all five of Journey's albums released since 2000.
